Viral Papillomas in Dogs
Recently we have been notified that some dogs that frequent Best Friends Dog Park have been infected by Viral Papilloma. They do not know where they contracted it at our park or someplace else. Viral Papilloma, is not contagious to humans, just dog to dog. These dogs will not be around other dogs until they free of the virus. If you notice lesions please contact your Veterinarian. Joey’s Jerky Chicken Jerky Treats Recall
September 10, 2013 — The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has announced a voluntary recall of Joey’s Jerky Chicken Jerky treats due to possible contamination with Salmonella bacteria.
A total of 21 people in Merrimack and Hillsborough Counties have been identified with the same strain of the illness.
However, no deaths have occurred.

BLUE GREEN ALGAE ALERT
DNR Staff are reporting that Little Lake Butte des Morts has a pretty strong BGA bloom occurring. Lake Winnebago also has some spots with high concentrations of BGA, particularly along the north shore. Areas that have a surface scum are most likely to produce IBGA exposure symptoms.
If you think you are experiencing symptoms related to exposure to blue-green algae (e.g., stomach cramps, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, fever, muscle weakness, difficulty breathing), contact your doctor or the Poison Information Hotline (800-222-1222) right away.
If your pet displays symptoms such as seizures, vomiting, or diarrhea after contact with surface water, contact your veterinarian right away.
